I am a dedicated mother, teacher, spouse, and advocate for children with a passion for education and supporting young learners. As a proud mom to two energetic boys, ages 8 and 6, my life is filled with adventure, laughter, and the joy of watching them grow and learn. My family and I enjoy spending quality time together camping, exploring the outdoors, traveling to new places, and cheering on our favorite sports teams.

Professionally, I bring 16 years of teaching experience to my role as an educator, with 12 of those years devoted to working as a special education teacher. I hold a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. My qualifications also include an ESL (English as a Second Language) endorsement and an LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist) endorsement, which enable me to provide comprehensive support to diverse learners as well as bring depth to my perspective and decision making.

Throughout my career both professionally and on the School Board, I have been committed to creating inclusive and engaging learning environments where every child can thrive. I believe in the power of individualized instruction and the importance of building strong connections with students and their families. My goal is to empower children to embrace their unique strengths and overcome challenges, fostering a lifelong love for learning. As a board member,I am passionate about advocating for children’s needs, both academically and socially. Whether working with families, collaborating with community members, or listening to the students and staff of D118, I am driven by the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed and reach their full potential. My journey as a mother and teacher continues to inspire me daily, fueling my dedication to making a positive impact in the lives of children and their families.
